A drug known as esomeprazole magnesium (Esomeprazole) is a stomach acid derivative that is used to treat stomach ulcers and gastroesophageal reflux (GER) disease. Esomeprazole magnesium (Esomeprazole) can also be used to treat acid reflux disease (GERD) when other medications are not effective.
Esomeprazole works by reducing the amount of acid that your stomach produces. By doing so, you will be less likely to need to have frequent meals or take more than the recommended amount of food.
